Cedar Tea is amazing and so beneficial for your health! We harvest the leaves and cones of the Easter Red Cedar (Redcedar) trees around our property. These trees are all natural, untreated and completely organic! The leaves and cones are washed and then dried for 10 days before being packaged into the tea bags.
Preparation: Steep 1 tablespoon of dried cedar leaf (approx. 1 tea bag) per cup of water.
Boiling: Bring the water to a boil and add cedar leaves. Gently boil for 8-10 minutes.
Sweetening: Sweeten with maple syrup or honey to taste.
*It is recommended to only drink 2 cups of cedar tea per week because consumption in large quantities can be toxic due to the presence of a natural chemical called thujone.
